TCU honored as “Great College to Work For’ three years in a row

TCU honored as Great College to Work For three years in a row

For the third consecutive year, TCU has been named among The Chronicle of Higher Education’s ‘Great Colleges to Work For.'

According to the publication, university employees evaluated their workplaces in 12 categories. For an institution to be named to the list, it had to score well in four or more categories. TCU excelled in eight of the 12 categories, earning a place on The Chronicle’s honor roll.

“It is indeed rewarding for our campus community to be recognized as one of the ‘Great Colleges to Work For,” Chancellor Victor Boschini said in an email. “TCU strives for excellence in all it does and such recognition reflects our commitment to creating an optimal and collaborative work environment.”

The eight categories in which TCU was honored include collaborative governance, compensation and benefits, facilities, workspace and security, job satisfaction, professional/career development programs, respect and appreciation, teaching environment, and tenure clarity and process, according to The Chronicle.

Although the university scored well in the afore mentioned categories,  the university did not receive recognition for diversity, supervisor or department-chair relationship, or work/life balance.
