Quarterback Casey Pachall is out of surgery after breaking his left forearm during the second quarter of TCU's victory over Southeastern Louisiana, head football coach Gary Patterson confirmed.

Pachall, whose non-throwing arm was the one injured, was at a local hospital between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Patterson wrote in a text message.

The senior quarterback will miss the Texas Tech game on Thursday and is doubtful for the Sept. 28 game against SMU, according to CBSSports.

Multiple calls to Director of Athletics Media Relations Mark Cohen inquiring into what hospital Pachall underwent surgery at and what part of of the forearm was broken went unanswered.

Trevone Boykin will get the start at quarterback against Texas Tech. He went 9-13 with 133 yards and two touchdowns after taking over for Pachall in the second quarter, leading the Frogs to a 38-17 victory.
