Despite a strong effort, the TCU women's soccer team fell 3-2 in overtime to No. 9 West Virginia Sunday.

The Mountaineers’ junior forward Kate Schwindel netted the golden goal with 1:18 remaining in the first overtime.

Vittoria Arnold played well for the Frogs, saving nine of the 12 shots against her.

A pair of freshmen and high school teammates in Lauren Sajewich and Michelle Prokof scored TCU’s goals. For Prokof, her goal was her team-leading seventh of the season.

The Horned Frogs (5-7-3, 1-3-1) next take the field on Friday against the Oklahoma Sooners. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium.
