The university bookstore is under new management.
Derek Holbert, who previously managed the Indiana State University Bookstore, will now take over the position for the Barnes & Noble on South University, according to a press release.
“Derek was chosen to manage the TCU Bookstore because of his long and successful career in bookstore management,” said Mark Kerin, regional manager for Barnes & Noble College. “But what really makes him such a great choice is Derek’s deep commitment to working with students and faculty at every university campus he has been a part of.”
Holbert, who has worked for Barnes & Noble College for 14 years, started his career as a part-time bookseller while he was a student at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, according to the release. After graduating in 2003, he began working for the company full-time before going back to Indiana to manage the Indiana State University Bookstore.
