The Horned Frogs will play seven home games and two out of state games next season, according to the 2014 TCU football schedule released Tuesday.
TCU will kick off the 2014 season at Amon G. Carter Stadium Aug. 30 against the Samford Bulldogs coached by former TCU head coach Pat Sullivan.
Following the season and home opener, the Frogs will have an open week and host the Minnesota Golden Gophers Sept. 13.
The Horned Frogs will end their non-conference play after another open week and travel to SMU for the “Battle for the Iron Skillet” Sept. 27.
TCU begins its third season in Big 12 conference play at home against Oklahoma Oct. 4. The game is one of TCU’s five home conference games next season, and the first time TCU will have five Big 12 games at home since joining the conference in 2012.
TCU will travel to Baylor Oct. 11 and come back to Fort Worth for a two-game home stand.
The Frogs will host their first Big 12 meeting with Oklahoma State at Amon G. Carter Stadium Oct. 18.
Texas Tech will travel to Fort Worth Oct. 25 for the Frogs’ fifth home game of the 2014 season.
TCU starts off November out of state, playing the West Virginia Mountaineers Nov. 1.
TCU will travel back home and play Kansas State Nov. 8.
After hosting Kansas State, TCU will travel to Kansas Nov. 15 and have another open week before heading to Austin for a second Thanksgiving Day game against Texas Nov. 27.
TCU will end the regular season at home against Iowa State Dec. 6.
