No. 3 ranked TCU Equestrian fell to No. 6 Oklahoma State 14-5 Saturday in Stillwater, Okla.
The loss puts TCU at a record of 4-2 this season and 2-1 in the Big 12 Conference.
“Oklahoma State came out ready to win, and we had a few uncharacteristic errors that left the door open,” said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield.
In Hunt Seat, TCU lost 6-4 to the Cowgirls. Senior Caitlin Ader won both disciplines.
In Equitation on the Flat, TCU lost by a close 3-2 decision. Freshman Molly Peddicord remained undefeated with an 80-58 routing. Ader earned TCU its second point with a 69-68 victory and improved to 4-2 overall on the Flat.
In Equitation over Fences, TCU only earned two points in the discipline. Ader’s 75-72 win earned TCU its first point and sophomore Taylor Alexander followed with a 77-71 win, earning the second point.
In Western, TCU lost in an 8-1 decision.
In Reigning, Alexi Child continued her winning ways, earning TCU’s only point with a 72-69.5 victory. Child remains undefeated in the Big 12 and is 5-1 this season.
TCU returns home to face No. 1 Georgia at 11 a.m. Nov. 21.
