The women’s basketball team defeated Prairie View A&M 76-47 Saturday evening, closing out the non-conference slate at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

This was their fifth-straight win to improve to 9-3 overall.

Sophomore guard Zahna Medley led a quartet of Horned Frogs in double figures with a game-high of 17 points.

Junior forward Chelsea Prince, in her first start since March 7, 2012, scored 15 points. The Fort Worth native’s 15 points were a season high and just one short of her career high set in 2011.

Freshmen Klara Bradshaw and Jada Butts both scored 11 points.
