The TCU women’s swimming & diving team improved its all-time record to 19-3 as it closed the regular season with a victory over The University of North Texas on Wednesday night.

The Frogs dominated UNT 154-131, winning all swimming events except the 100 and 200 breast, the 200 IM and the 100-yard butterfly.

The team got key victories from their relay team in the 200 and 400 relays. Julia Sanders took first place in the 50 and 100 free, and Mikayla Winkler placed first in the 200 and 500 free.

Lyndsie Gibson also claimed first place in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. Furthermore, Sara Brzozowski and Carley Stevens finished first and second, respectively, in the 1,000 free.

In one-meter diving, Courtney Cheek took third place and Kristen Connolly took fifth. In three-meter diving, Lauren Mikulecky took second place while Connolly took third.

UNT obtained wins from Krista Rossum. Rossum, who holds school records in seven events, won both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.

The Frogs look to continue their success in the Big 12 Tournament, which starts on Feb. 26.
