Fresno State head coach Raegan Pebley is expected to replace Jeff Mittie as head coach of the TCU women’s basketball team, according to Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Del Conte’s twitter account and other sources.
TCU Athletics is scheduled to make a “major announcement” at 1:30 p.m. in the Four Sevens Team Room, according to Mark Cohen, director of athletics media relations.
Pebley is visiting the TCU campus today.
She spent two years as the head coach of the Fresno State Bulldogs, leading them to back-to-back Mountain West Conference Championships.
Pebley holds the task of following Mittie’s stellar TCU career.
Mittie spent 15 years coaching the Frogs and leads the school in career wins (303). He guided TCU to 12 postseason appearances in 14 years before accepting a head-coaching job at Kansas State.
