Coming off a record-breaking 14th shutout, the No. 9-ranked TCU baseball team closed their regular season out with a 7-1 road win over Baylor Saturday night.
Juniors Cody Jones and Derek Odell led the way for the Frogs, earning six hits, three runs and two RBIs combined to secure a 2-1 series win over the Bears. Jones and Odell have combined for 72 runs this season.
TCU ended its 2013-14 regular season campaign with a 38-15 record (17-7 Big 12). The Frogs won three of their last five following a 13-game winning streak.
Next up, second-seeded TCU takes on the Bears for the fourth time in a row in the first round of the Big 12 Championship. A first-place finish in the tournament would all but seal a national seed for the postseason-bound Frogs.
The game is scheduled for Wednesday from Oklahoma City, Okla. First pitch is at 12:30 p.m.
