OKLAHOMA CITY — Kevin Cron had three hits as TCU defeated Baylor 4-1 in the Big 12 tournament to advance to the championship game.
The Horned Frogs (41-15) will play in the final Sunday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
TCU broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh inning of Saturday’s game as Cron and Jerrick Suiter each had RBI singles to give the Horned Frogs a 3-1 lead. Derek Odell’s RBI single in the top of the eighth made it 4-1.
Trey Teakell got the win in three innings of scoreless relief.
Riley Ferrell got his 13th save with 1 1/3 innings of perfect relief. He struck out three of the four batters he faced.
Grayson Porter had three hits and Lawton Langford had two for Baylor (26-31), which was eliminated.
