He won’t be at Saturday’s game, but 50 players from TCU’s 1994 Southwest Conference Co-Champions team will be on hand at halftime to recognize Samford Head Coach Pat Sullivan.
Sullivan, who coached the Frogs from 1992-1997, is recovering from surgery.
“My doctors have advised me not to travel at this time due to a complication from a surgery earlier this year, ” Sullivan said in a statement released by Samford University.
Sullivan is in his eighth year of coaching at Samford, had pushed for the matchup between the Bulldogs and the Frogs to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1994 team.
Sullivan won the Heisman Trophy in 1971 while playing at Auburn University.
