Fort Worth Zoo will soon host a series of Photo Safari sessions.

Participants will be taken to two designated shooting locations and allowed to stay in the zoo for the rest of the day, Jonathan Connor, the zoo's education coordinator wrote in an email.

“Photo Safaris are led by the Zoo’s education program coordinators," he wrote. “They lead participants through the photography portion of the program and are available to ask questions about photography as well as animal-related questions.”

Guided tours will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6, according to the zoo website. The Oct. 4 session, unlike the others, will focus exclusively on birds, and more sessions are coming in 2015.

The Photo Safari costs $50 for members and $60 for non-members and will include a continental breakfast.

Participants must be 16 years or older, according Conner's email, and each class must have a minimum of five participants with a maximum of 10.

“The Zoo’s education department offers quality programming for students of many ages,” he wrote. “Such programs help the community to get in touch with nature and learn to appreciate it.”
