Junior quarterback Trevone Boykin injured his left wrist in the loss to Baylor last Saturday, but he is expected to start this weekend against Oklahoma State.

Coach Gary Patterson acknowledged Boykin’s wrist injury after practice Wednesday, but said he expects Boykin to be the starter on Saturday.

“It will be where he can manage it and do the things he needs to do,” Patterson said. “He’s a tough kid.”

TCU Sports Information Director Mark Cohen confirmed that Boykin will be the starter in an email Thursday.

If Boykin’s condition worsens between now and Saturday, senior quarterback Matt Joeckel would be expected to start against the Cowboys.
