The Horned Frogs are ranked first for the first time this season in the weekly Big 12 Power Rankings.
Sports editors from each university in the Big 12 selected TCU as the top team in the conference by the slightest of margins, edging out Kansas State by one point.

- Baylor (64 points)
- Oklahoma (53 points)
- West Virginia (52 points)
- Oklahoma State (38 points)
- Texas (33 points)
- Texas Tech (23 points)
- Iowa State (17 points)
- Kansas (9 points)
The top-ranked team on each editor’s list gets 10 points, the second-ranked team earns 9 points, the third-ranked team receives 8 points and so-on.
TCU climbed from sixth in Week 5, to fifth in Week 6 and was ranked second each of the last two weeks.
Baylor’s loss to West Virginia made the Bears fall to third in the rankings, opening up the top spot for the Horned Frogs.
TCU is 5-1 on the season and hosts Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
