For many TCU students, graduating means saying goodbye to Fort Worth.
The days of living full-time in Cowtown are coming to an end and what has become home for many TCU students is something of the past. It’s important to squeeze everything you can into what might be your last weekend in the Fort.
Here’s a list of the top 5 things to do in Fort Worth on graduation weekend:
Santa Cause Pub Crawl
After walking across the stage Saturday morning, there is no better way to celebrate than participating in the Santa Cause Pub Crawl Saturday night around West 7th Street in Fort Worth. The crawl starts at 5 p.m. and benefits the Hope Center for Autism in Fort Worth. The event is free to register, but other upgraded packages are available.
The Hope Center’s goal “is to have the whole city come out to West 7th Street on Saturday dressed as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, reindeer, an elf or any other character to show support for families dealing with childhood autism.”

Casey Donahew Band live at Billy Bob’s Texas
No weekend would be complete without a trip to the Stockyards and Billy Bob’s. The Casey Donahew Band will be playing Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
Casey Donahew music has topped the Texas music charts and Billboard Top Country Albums charts several times. Donahew’s top songs include “Double-Wide Dream,” “Whiskey Baby” and “Let Me Love You.” Don’t forget to get a picture on top of the bull as a souvenir.

Some Like It Cold 5k/10k
Channel pre-graduation excitement by running in the Some Like It Cold 5k/10k run Saturday at 8 a.m. Start your morning off right by running through the scenic Trinity Park. Both timed and untimed races are available.

Brunch at Sundance Square
Enjoy brunch Sunday morning in Sundance Square featuring a live 58-foot Christmas tree and Santa Claus. Brunch is offered at Bird Café, Del Frisco’s Grille, Mi Cocina and many other restaurants.
The Nutty Nutcracker
On Friday, Texas Ballet Theater will perform “The Nutty Nutcracker,” a PG-13 spoof of “The Nutcracker.”
Set to the original score, this performance is not a typical Nutcracker performance. The performance incorporates pop culture and current events to parody the story of the traditional holiday favorite.
If the traditional play suits your interest more, performances of “The Nutcracker” will be presented Dec. 20-21 as well. All performances are at Bass Performance Hall in the historic Sundance Square district of downtown Fort Worth.
