After a decisive home win against Texas Tech, TCU will look to begin a winning streak on the road this week.

The Frogs (14-8, 6-5 Big 12) travel to play Kansas State on Wednesday and Oklahoma on Saturday.

TCU’s game in Manhattan is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The team will play in Norman at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Wildcats (14-8, 4-7 Big 12) are coming off a loss to Oklahoma, and the Sooners (15-7, 9-2 Big 12) will have to play at No. 3 Baylor before hosting the Frogs at home.

Junior Veja Hamilton led TCU with 10 rebounds against the Red Raiders on Sunday. She said rebounding will be key in playing without a home-court advantage this week.

“I think if we play physically, we can win a lot of games,” Hamilton said. “You don’t have fans for energy to feed off of, so we’ll have to focus on playing as a team.”

The Frogs are fourth in the Big 12 standings, but they have struggled away from Fort Worth, winning only two of their six away games so far this season.

While the team’s rebounding was strong against the Red Raiders, Hamilton said playing tough at the post position versus both teams will be key.

For Wednesday’s game, that will mean containing 6-foot-5-inch forward Breanna Lewis. She has been one of the Wildcats’ leading scorers and rebounders throughout the season.

Both TCU and Kansas State are looking for some consistency in their conference play. Neither team has had longer than a three-game win streak against Big 12 opponents.

Oklahoma, on the other hand, has only had two conference losses, including one double-overtime heartbreaker to then-No. 14 Texas.

The Frogs have been shooting well from the free-throw line, but the Sooners were a perfect 12-for-12 from the line in their game against Kansas State on Saturday.

The Sooners are only behind Baylor in the conference standings, so Wednesday’s matchup will hold a lot of weight in the Big 12.
