The TCU baseball team dropped its first game of the season 7-6 to Arizona State on Saturday.
The Frogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead early, but the Sun Devils answered with five runs throughout the next three innings. TCU scored two in the eighth and one in the ninth, but a Sun Devil run in the eighth made the difference.
Freshman catcher Zack Plunkett hit his first home run in the game.
Sophomore Tyler Alexander was given the first loss after giving up six runs (five earned).
The Frogs will finish up their series at Arizona State at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Junior Alex Young will get the start on the mound.
