Another storm is heading to North Texas Tuesday night and is expected to last until noon Wednesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for snow until 6 a.m. Wednesday with about one to three inches to projected snow.
“Most of the snowfall is expected between 5 and 9 a.m. Wednesday,” WFAA Chief Meteorologist Pete Delkus sai.
Most of the snow is expected to be wet and slushy, which could cause problems during Wednesday morning commutes, Delkus said.
Temperatures are expected to climb into the 40s Wednesday afternoon.
Fort Worth Police tweeted that their “snow patrol” has been out helping citizens recover from the previous storm and preparing for this next round of weather.
“If people have to drive to work in the morning, put blankets on your windshields tonight and make sure your windshield wipers are raised,” Neighborhood Patrol Officer Mario Cabello said.
Cabello said residents should be aware of the locations of blankets, flashlights and batteries, rack up on food that can be prepared without electricity and keep faucets at a slow drip during the night.
TCU and Tarrant County College cancelled classes Monday. TCU delayed classes Tuesday morning. By late Tuesday, they have not issued any cancellations for Wednesday.
Fort Worth ISD will open late after a two hour delay Wednesday morning.
Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Fort Worth Country Day have not yet announced if they are canceling or delaying school for Wednesday.
