After working in more than 60 countries as a photographer with National Geographic, Jodi Cobb is now using her international experiences to lecture around the world, including TCU.
Cobb will speak at the Frost Foundation Lectureship Monday at 6 p.m. She will discuss her passion for her photography of the human conditions of the world and the road to how she got there.
According to her website, Cobb uses her camera to answer the important questions of the world.
Cobb said her photography consists of artistic beauty and heartache from all around the globe.
“I am passionately interested in cultural issues,” Cobb said. “I believe that cultural issues are everyone’s issues.”
Cobb received a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Doctorate of Fine Arts from the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
Cobb said she was very interested when the Frost Foundation asked her to lecture at TCU.
“Students always ask the most insightful questions,” Cobb said. “Their brains are wide open, which is why I love talking to them about my adventures.”
The Frost Foundation’s lecture will be Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union Ballroom.
