The combination of Elliott Barzilli’s first home run in a TCU uniform and a dominating performance by Tyler Alexander on the mound led the Frogs to a 7-1 victory over UT Arlington Tuesday night.
TCU took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Frogs also put a four-spot on the board in the second to open up a 5-0 lead. UTA got on the scoreboard in the eighth after a pair of walks around an error loaded the bases with nobody out, ending Alexander’s evening.
With the victory, TCU improves to 27-8 overall. The Frogs will face Santa Clara this weekend in a three-game series, the start of a seven-game homestand. First pitch at Lupton Stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday.
