Rain and severe wind gusts passed through TCU early Friday evening, but the tornado warning originally placed on Tarrant County has been lifted.
Sirens began going off at at TCU around 6:30 p.m. when Tarrant County was put under the warning.
The warning was cancelled at 6:51 p.m., according to WFAA.com.
CBS 11’s Mireya Villarreal took video of the storm near South Hulen and I-20, roughly three miles southwest of TCU.
Below is a video posted to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s YouTube channel that shows TCU baseball fans evacuating Lupton Stadium.
The baseball team’s scheduled game against Texas has since been rescheduled for Saturday afternoon.
The tornado warning for North Texas as a whole was scaled back extensively at 8:47 p.m.
At 8:51 p.m., CBS 11’s Jack Fink tweeted a photo of bright sunset while heading to storm damage reportedly near campus.
