Former TCU offensive tackle Tayo Fabuluje is headed to the windy city.
Fabuluje was selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft on Saturday, marking the second time in four years that a Horned Frog has been drafted by Chicago.
Fabuluje joins former TCU linebacker Paul Dawson as the other Frog to be drafted this year. Dawson, a former All-American and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the draft on Friday.
Raised in Euless, Fabuluje played for the Horned Frogs from 2012 to 2014. In 2012, he was an honorable mention for the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year. Fabuluje, who earned his degree in December 2014, is the third offensive tackle from TCU to be drafted in the past four years.
Fabuluje started in all 12 games as left tackle during the 2014 season. The Frogs averaged 46.5 points per game and tied for fifth in total offense at an average of 533 yards per game.
Dawson racked up a team-high 136 tackles (20 for loss) in 2014. He was the only player in the country with at least 100 tackles, six sacks and four interceptions.
This marks the sixth time in the last seven seasons that at least two Horned Frogs have been drafted.
In addition to Dawson and Fabuluje, several former TCU players signed with NFL teams on Saturday in undrafted free agency:
Kevin White, Atlanta Falcons
Chris Hackett, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chucky Hunter, Dallas Cowboys
David Porter, Miami Dolphins
Jonathan Anderson, Chicago Bears
Sam Carter, Chicago Bears
