FWISD to host Back to School Night for parents and students

It’s almost that time again.
As Fort Worth families prepare to return back to school, Fort Worth ISD celebrates the new school year with a Back to School Night event for families.
On Saturday, Aug. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m., parents and students can head to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History for a family-friendly evening.
The event will include free access to the museum, along with three screenings of “Dolphins” at the Omni Theater.
Between entertainment, families who attend will receive packets with information about the upcoming year, as well as the chance to speak to many District departments, programs and services.
“We want to provide families with a fun, educational, and relaxing night out before the kids head back to school,” Dr. Patricia Linares, FWISD Interim Superintendent, said.
The first 500 guests will receive a snack pack filled with a sandwich, fruit and water.
Attendance is free; however, guests must register to attend.
