TCU women’s golf took second at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Wolcott, Colorado earlier this week.
Junior Kelly McGovern led the team with a score of 215. McGovern finished second individually, shooting a 67 during the third day of play, only one stroke shy of a TCU record.
TCU finished the tournament totaling 878, 20 strokes behind San Diego State University.
First-year Brooke Graebe finished the tournament in a tie for 12th place. Graebe shot a 221 and birdied five times in the tournament. She has had a top 20 finish in each of her three collegiate tournaments.
Fellow first-year Sabina Pena had two birdies along with one eagle. Pena shot a 223, tying for 17th place individually. The third member of the team’s freshman trio, Annika Clark, shot a 224, placing her in a tie for 24th place.
Junior Alex Sborov shot a 230 and recorded her first collegiate eagle.
The team travels to the University of Washington Invitational in Seattle Oct. 6.
