The charges against TCU football players Mike Tuaua and Andre Petties-Wilson have been dropped.
“The victim in this case has refused to pursue criminal charges,” said Fort Worth Police Sgt. Steven Enright. “As such, the case has been closed.”
The two players were accused of assaulting three students and stealing a case of beer outside of an off-campus party on Friday, Sept. 4.
Tuaua and Petties-Wilson were arrested on suspicion of robbery with bodily injury on Monday, Sept 21. They faced felony charges before the charges were dropped.
The case did not reach the Fort Worth District Attorney’s office because the Fort Worth Police Dept. dropped the charges, according to Samantha Jordan, communications officer for the District’s Attorney.
Tuaua and Petties-Wilson returned to practice Wednesday after clearing TCU’s disciplinary process on Tuesday.
