Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson met with supporters around noon on Tuesday during a book signing at the Barnes and Nobel on Hulen Street. The candidate was selling his book, “A More Perfect Union: What We the People Can Do to Reclaim Our Constitutional Liberties.”
Carson stayed at the bookstore for nearly two hours before moving to his next event, another book signing at a Sam’s Club in Plano.
A manager from the Barnes and Nobel said more than 1200 customers bought Carson’s book at Tuesday’s book signing, adding that many others attended the event, but did not buy his book.
Carson now stands in second place in a majority of republican primary polls behind frontrunner Donald Trump.
