Time to vote.
Texas is one of 14 national contests to take part in a primary or caucus today, known as Super Tuesday. Republican frontrunner Donald Trump is expected to dominate in the polls, but in a WFAA/Channel 8 poll, he is virtually tied in the Lone Star State with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is also expecting big wins in the South over Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
More than 125,000 people took advantage of early voting in Tarrant County, shattering the 55,266 total from 2012. This year’s turnout eclipsed Tarrant County’s showing in 2008 when 123,343 early ballots were cast.
The Republican field brought out the most voters, with 87,330 ballots cast in that contest.
There are four locations in the 76109 zip code where voters cast their ballots.
