Where and how to vote early

For those planning on voting in the November election, there’s no need to wait until election day – early voting started Monday and runs through Nov. 4.
There are more than 1 million people registered to vote in Tarrant County, including about 100,000 new voters who swelled the ranks by the Oct. 11 deadline, said Patricia Benavides, Tarrant County voter registration manager.
Early voting is available at Southwestern Baptist Seminary from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Oct. 27.
Voters can also cast early ballots at Rosemont Middle School from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the week of Oct. 24 or 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4.
The Brown-Lupton University Union will also be open for early voting from Oct. 31 through Nov. 4, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters will need bring one valid ID, including a Texas driver’s license, voter registration card, gun license, military ID or U.S. passport. A student ID is not sufficient identification for voting, and the volunteers running the polls will turn anyone away unless they can present a valid ID.
