The schedule for the upcoming men’s golf season features several challenging tournaments.

“I’m really looking forward to this season,” said Bill Montigel, who will begin his 31st season as head coach. “This schedule will challenge our team and put us in great position for another postseason appearance.”

The Horned Frogs will open the season Sept. 1 with the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach, California, for the fifth time in the last six seasons. Six of the field’s eight teams finished last season with a final Golfstat ranking of 33 or better including No. 1 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 14 Texas Tech and defending national champion Oklahoma.

For the fourth consecutive season, the Frogs will play in the Nike Collegiate Invitational. The annual event will be held in North Plains, Oregon from Oct. 2-4. This 15-team field has 10 teams from Golfstat’s final top 25 last season.

From Oct. 20-22, the team will be competing at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in Alpharetta. The tournament usually features some of the top teams in the country.

TCU will also participate March 17-18 in the Mission Inn Spectacular as the defending champions. The tournament takes place in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Last season, TCU finished 11 shots ahead of second-place Marquette, led by Triston Fisher’s second-place outing.

The Frogs will finish their regular season at the El Macero Classic in El Macero, California, from April 13-15.

The Big 12 Championship will be from April 23-25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The conference will be one of the NCAA’s most competitive with five schools that finished in Golfstat’s final top 20, including No. 3 Oklahoma.

The Horned Frogs will be vying for their 29th consecutive NCAA Regional, which will take place from May 14-16. This season’s NCAA Championship will take place from May 25-30 at the Karsten Kreek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

TCU returns four of the five players who competed in postseason play last season: juniors Fisher, Turner MacLean, Pierre Mazier and Stefano Mazzoli.
