Groundhog Day is a holiday centered on Punxsutawney Phil, the 132-year-old groundhog who continues to predict the weather every Feb. 2.

It is said that if he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter; however, If he doesn’t, then winter is over and spring will begin.

According to the Inner Circle of the Groundhog Club in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Phil never predicts wrong. Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow 103 times and not seen his shadow 18 times.

Fort Worth, Texas is over 1,300 miles from Punxsutawney, Pennsylavania, but Groundhog Day is celebrated all across the U.S.
