Junior David Ravetto shot a career-best seven-under 209 to win the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular and lead TCU to its second team title of the season Sunday.
Competing as an individual, Ravetto shot two-under 70 on the day. It was the Texas Wesleyan transfer’s from first tournament win at TCU. This was his first individual title since winning the DBU Patriot Classic April 4, 2017, as a sophomore at Texas Wesleyan.
The Frogs had five golfers finish in the top seven: Ravetto, Stefano Mazzoli, Hayden Springer, Triston Fisher and Pierre Mazier.
Junior Stefano Mazzoli finished third at two-under 214. Mazzoli has finished at or under par in all nine tournaments this season. Sunday was his fifth top-10 finish of the year.
Junior Hayden Springer finished fourth while tying his season-low. His three-under 69 in the final round was his best since shooting a four-under 68 in September at the Carmel Cup.
Junior Triston Fisher finished sixth at three-over 219 and junior Pierre Mazier tied for seventh at four-over 220.
Junior Turner MacLean finished tied for 28th.
The Horned Frogs, who began the tournament ranked No. 27 by Golf Stat, won the tournament by 20 strokes over second place, Toledo.
TCU will compete next at the El Macero Classic in El Macero, California, April 13-15 looking to bringing home their third win of the season before the Big 12 Championship begins April 23-25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
