The Cleveland Cavaliers added former men’s basketball standout Vladimir Brodziansky to their summer league squad Tuesday.
Brodziansky will join a Cavaliers squad highlighted by former Alabama point guard and eighth overall pick Collin Sexton. He also joins former teammate Kenrich Williams and 2013 TCU alumnus Garlon Greene in this year’s Summer League. Greene most recently played professionally in Belgium.
The All-Big 12 Conference Third Team honoree averaged 15 points per game during his senior campaign, good for eleventh in the conference. He recorded 29 double-digit performances in 33 games played and shot 57.9 percent from the field, third best in the Big 12 and seventh-best in TCU history. The Prievidza, Slovakia native also ranks seventh in TCU history with 1.7 blocks per game.
Brodziansky finished his TCU career tied atop the school leader board with 171 blocked shots while ending up as the No. 11 scorer in the program with 1,364 points. He sits fourth in TCU history with a career field goal percentage of 55.8 percent.
To cap off hiscareer, Brodziansky was named Recee’s College All-Star, a Senior CLASS Award Finalist, a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award finalist, AP All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, Academic All-District 7 and First Team Academic All-Big 12.
Cleveland will play in the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League and will open their 10-game schedule July 6 through July 17. All games will be played at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV.
