Trump doesn’t believe the FBI should be involved in Kavanaugh allegations
Christine Blasey Ford claimed that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexual assaulted her when they were in high school, roughly 30 years ago.
According to ABC News, Kavanaugh has denied the allegations and President Donald Trump believes the FBI should stay out of the situation.
Kavanaugh and Ford will testify on Monday.
North and South Korea agree to an ‘era of no war’
Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in announced today that they plan to destroy their nuclear complex with hopes of ending the possibility of war on their turf.
This agreement comes only with cooperation by the U.S., said Jea-in.
This announcement was made on the second day of the three-day summit. This is their third this year and is part of efforts to “contain the threat of war on the Korean Peninsula.”
The two also signed an agreement to “cease all hostile acts against each other” between the two countries.
Trump responded to these actions via Twitter.
Finding temporary housing in North Carolina is getting harder each day
Since Hurricane Florence blew through smaller towns, temporary housing is harder to find for those affected by this hurricane than other recent U.S. storms.
Additionally, many of the houses in the small towns such as Wilmington and Fayetteville, N.C. are single-family homes, making them more vulnerable to damages.
The good news is that many landlords will choose to not increase rent for quite some time after the storm.
Stormy Daniels’ tell-all book obtained early
Stormy Daniels’ tell-all book reveals vivid details of her time spent with President Donald Trump prior to the election.
Daniels explains the first time she met Trump, noting the Trump logo on his shirt would one day be a MAGA logo.
The book, Full Disclosure, will be released Oct. 2.
Julie Chen announced that she will be leaving “The Talk”
Co-Host of “The Talk,” Julie Chen, is stepping down from her position in order to spend time at home with her husband and son.
This news comes just weeks after her husband, Les Moonves, executive producer of CBS, stepped down from the network after sexual misconduct allegations from women he had worked with over his career.
According to NBC News, Chen will continue to host “Big Brother” through its finale next week.
Elizabeth Smart’s captor set to be released from prison today
Wanda Barzee, one of Elizabeth Smart’s captors, was released from prison after serving 15 years in prison.
Smart was rescued in 2003 after nine months of being held by Barzee and her husband, Brian Mitchell.
Smart explained that she is very concerned for the community, the public, and for herself moving forward in a CBS News article.
