The TCU women’s golf team started off their 2018 campaign this week with an eighth-place finish at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Vail, Colorado. The team shot a 6-over first round, 15-over second round, and 3-over final round.

Their final round score of 291 was their best of the tournament and marked a 12-shot improvement from round two.

“We have some specific areas we need to work on before our next tournament, but this team is strong and will bounce back,” said coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin.

Senior Annika Clark led all Horned Frogs with a 220 overall score for the weekend, good for 25th overall. She had two birdies in the final round.

Junior Greta Bruner followed Clark at 28th overall with a score of 222. Her two eagles in the final round brought her to sixth all-time, tying Clark for fourth in program history.

“Good things are in store for this team,” Ravaioli-Larkin said.

The Horned Frogs will return to action on Oct. 14 at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in San Antonio.
