Bombs delivered to Democrats

Pipe bombs were sent to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and CNN among other prominent Democrats by mail.

None of the bombs detonated thanks to law enforcement officers that caught them in time.

President Trump disapproved of these acts and said that physical violence has no place in politics. He also said, “media hostility” was to blame.

The hunt for who’s behind these bombs is in full steam. Officials said it could be someone who was egged on by Trump’s questionable language against these figures.

Chinese and Russians spy on Trump’s conversations

We all know how it feels when people listen in on our phone conversations. Even Trump knows how it feels, except this time it’s the Chinese and Russians doing the eavesdropping.

American intelligence reports confirmed Chinese and Russian spies are listening to President Trump’s cellphone conversations.

Officials determined that the spies will use this information to learn how Trump thinks.

His aides have tried to warn him about eavesdroppers, but Trump refused to give up his iPhones.

Trump signs measure to end opioid crisis

President Donald Trump signed legislation to end the opioid crisis Wednesday.

Almost 48,000 people died because of opioid overdoses in 2017.

According to AP News, the bipartisan motion will provide treatment options and provide screening options for packages coming overseas.

The Trump administration has said they wanted to mimic an old war on drugs, but they have largely built on Obama’s treatment programs.

Trump Foundation vs. New York Attorney General

The Trump Foundation and the New York Attorney General took their differences to court Thursday in a civil lawsuit.

The State alleged the charitable foundation ignored campaign finance laws and abused its tax-free status in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump’s lawyers will try to convince the judge to dismiss the case, saying it comes from the bias of former Attorney General: Democrat Eric Schneiderman.

Schneiderman denied his involvement, saying the current Attorney General Barbara Underwood brought forth the allegations.

Women oppose Republicans in N.Y., get donations for campaign

With a record number of women running for office in the midterms, four women looking to beat Republicans in the House are getting more attention.

Donors have sent millions of dollars to their campaigns in the last three months.

The Cook Political Report didn’t declare any of the nine Republican seats as a for-sure win for Republicans anymore.

One of the Republican opponents, Peter King said he is running on his own 13-year incumbent record, “but I take nothing for granted.”

U.S. refuses trade deals with China until halt in tech theft

The U.S. demanded China create a plan to stop technology theft before they would consider trade deals.

The efforts to come to an agreement has left the situation tense.

For Beijing to present a formal offer would be risky. They would have to reveal their negotiation position and risk losing the upper hand.

There will be a meeting between Presidents Trump and Xi Jinping in late November, which both sides hope will ease the tensions.
