Michael Cohen Pleads Guilty

According to CNN, Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty to making “false statements to Congress about the Russia investigation.”

Cohen previously told Congress that the Moscow Project ended before the Iowa caucus and the first primary for the hope of ending the Russia investigation.

His charge has a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000 and a supervised release of no more than three years. Sentencing will occur on Dec. 12.

The GM plant will close, but Trump doesn’t seem to think it is a big deal

President Trump tweeted on Thursday morning that the “U.S.A. is booming!”

According to ABC News, President Trump is continuing to claim that steel plants are opening all over the country, a false claim.

The White House declined to elaborate on what the President referred to.

President Trump canceled his meeting with Putin

According to CNBC, President Trump was set to meet with Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, at the G-20 summit in Argentina, but he canceled this morning.

President Trump blamed the cancellation on “the failure of Russia to return three ships and their sailors seized from Ukraine last weekend in the Black sea.”

A spokesman for President Putin said the Kremlin has no information about his decision to cancel the meeting.

Jeff Sessions jokes about getting a ‘pink slip’ from President Trump

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he embraced getting a ‘pink slip’ from President Trump this month.

According to NBC News, Sessions resigned on Nov. 7 at Trump’s request, one day after the midterm elections.

In his speech, Sessions said he was “satisfied and fulfilled” with what he accomplished and that he “got a new title: former. Pink slip.”

Trump says Michael Cohen “is lying” about pleading guilty

President Trump responded to Cohen’s guilty plea by saying he was lying.

According to CBS News, President Trump believes Cohen is lying and is trying to receive a reduced sentence, adding that he isn’t a very smart person.

Cohen worked as President Trump’s lawyer for many years and did him “a favor a long time ago.”

The Affordable Care Act is under attack by the Trump administration

According to The Washington Post, the Trump administration is urging states to end the Affordable Care Act by taking away the rule that “federal insurance subsidies can be used only for people buying health plans in marketplaces created under the law.”

The advice, issued today, said that states would be free to define the use of those subsides, something that has helped consumers to afford insurance sine 2014.

If states take the advice, this would undermine the ACA’s changes to the nation’s insurance system.
