TCU’s network leaves students, faculty with irregular wireless connection

TCU’s wireless network has not been working properly for students and faculty

Some students and faculty have had to adjust to classrooms without technology as TCU’s wireless connection continues to not work.

The network serving faculty, FWSPA2, and the one for students, eduroam, went out just hours into the spring semester.

The problem started Friday and continued through the weekend, according to an email from IT Information Technology.

Oncor, TCU’s electric delivery company, scheduled a power outage last Thursday and problems began occurring after that, said Joshua Tooley, associate director of IT Support.

Some students shared their frustrations on Twitter.

There is no specific time for the wireless network to be fixed, but TCU’s IT network and systems team are working on the finding a solution, according to Tooley’s email.
