TCU police are investigating after a female student accused a male student of sliding a cell phone underneath the wall of a restroom stall and recording her.

A female student claimed the cell phone was used to record her in a Rees Jones Hall restroom stall.

TCU detectives interviewed the suspect and are conducting an investigation for Invasion Visual Recording Texas Penal Code 21.15.

In Texas, any visual recording that records a photo or image of a person without their consent, recording a person in a changing room or bathroom and recording people’s intimate areas when the person has a reasonable expectation of privacy is criminalizing.

If you have any information on this crime or feel you have been a victim of this type of crime, call Sgt. Steve Hall at 817-257-7777.
