Israeli Prime Minister charged for corruption, pending hearing
After three separate corruption investigations, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been charged with bribery, fraud and breach of trust arising, according to CNN.
A source with direct knowledge of the decision by the attorney general of Israel states that a hearing is still pending.
“Netanyahu’s coalition partners must decide whether to support a leader who looks set to be indicted or withdraw their support and risk alienating their shared right-wing voter base,” said CNN’s Oren Lieberman.
UK viewers of Netlix’s “The Notebook” confused after an unexpected ending
“The Notebook” has as one of the best romantic endings in cinema history, which features a dramatic scene tying together the love story of the two main characters, Noah and Allie.
Viewers in the UK were upset after an alternate ending of the movie appeared on Netflix, which was not the same as the original scene.
The ending shown on Netflix was much more anticlimactic than the original 2004 ending. Instead of showing the aged couple dying in each other’s arms, the ending resulted in a flock of birds flying over a lake.
Netflix tweeted a statement stating that they were sent a different version of the film, and that some films may have more than one ending. On Thursday, Netflix added the correct version of “The Notebook” on its streaming service, according to CNN.
Allegations behind children privacy and security violations force TikTok to pay $5.7 million
According to Variety, the Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint against the short-form video app, TikTok.
The FTC claims TikTok is in violation of the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, which requires websites targeting children to receive consent from legal parents or guardians before collection of personal information from kids under 13 years old.
According to the FTC, the $5.7 million dollar fine is the largest civil penalty ever obtained by the agency in a children’s privacy case.
TikTok recently surpassed one billion users as of last week, according to CNET.com
Southwest Airlines finally approved to fly to Hawaii
The low-fair airline can finally fly its passengers to Hawaii after approval from the FAA.
The plan for Southwest Airlines to fly to Hawaii came about in 2017 with hopes to sell tickets in 2018, but the government turned down the proposed idea, according to CNBC.
Southwest Airlines has been eager to convince its regulators to approve of their planes’ ability to fly over water for long periods of time away from diversion airports.
The airline will look to announce its plan for selling tickets to the popular vacation spot in the coming days.
