After dominating the Cowtown Classic last week, TCU volleyball looked like a different team on Friday, falling to Colorado State in straight sets in their first match of the Fight in the Fort Tournament.
The Horned Frogs never ceased to put up a fight with the Rams, but in the end, they came up short in each set.
The serving of first-year middle blocker Afedo Manyang was the lone bright spot of the match. She led the team with five aces, three of those coming from the first set.
First-year setter Irem Ucar had 21 assists for the night, pairing nicely with first-year outside hitter Audrey Nalls who tallied nine kills.
TCU entered the Fight in the Fort 3-0, while the Rams were 2-1. Colorado State leads the all-time series with TCU, 14-4.
The Frogs will look to bounce back on Saturday as they continue the tournament against Florida Atlantic at 3 p.m.
