Despite battling hard on defense, TCU volleyball lost in three sets to the Kansas Jayhawks.

The loss drops the Frogs to 1-6 in conference play.

TCU struggled to find its offensive rhythm early on in the first set but would then go on a 6-1 run to tie the Jayhawks at 10. For the remainder of the set, the bounces would not go in favor of the Frogs, and the team would lose the first set 25-18.

Ashley Waggle led the Frogs with four kills on .667 killing in the first set.

In the second set, TCU jumped out to a 7-4 lead off a pair of kills from both Sarah Swanson and Audrey Nalls, but Kansas quickly came back to tie the match at seven.

In total, there were 10 ties in the second set, and momentum swayed from one bench to the other. In the end, the Jayhawks took the final three points to win 25-21.

Nalls led the team with four kills. Junior Dani Dennison was fantastic in the back row, posting a remarkable eight digs.

Dennison made her first start at libero this season and posted 21 digs, her first 20-plus dig performance of 2019.

Nalls, Swanson and Katie Clark had leadoff kills to help TCU claim a 5-3 lead in the third set, but Kansas won the next 10 of 14 points to go up 13-9. The Jayhawks sealed the game in three sets, taking the third 25-19.
