Dr. Michael Harville, a professor of professional practice in engineering, died in his Fort Worth home. He began teaching at TCU in August 2016 after working several years as the senior engineer for Path Consulting, LLC.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not released the cause of death.

Members of the TCU community are invited to gather at Frog Fountain from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a candlelight vigil. Representatives from the Mental Health Center and chaplains will be in attendance.

The counseling center, the Office of Campus Life and Religious and Spiritual Life staff each offer walk-in appointments for anyone in need.
