Biden has taken the lead in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Nevada.
Biden looks to be winning in Georgia, as he now has a slim lead of 1,592 votes over Trump with 99% of the vote counted. The Trump campaign has called for a recount after the Georgia’s results have been announced.
COVID-19 hospitalizations skyrocket, adding major concerns over death rates
The U.S. reported more than 121,000 new COVID-19 infections, passing the previous record set the day before, according to CNN.
Wednesday was the first time the number of infections surpassed 100,000, but two days in a row of record highs is a concerning trend. This week’s count is over 660,000.
In America, there are now over 53,000 COVID-19 patients, and experts have said more than 31,000 people could die in the next few weeks.
In November alone, 22 states have reported one-day record highs for COVID-19-related hospitalizations.
Only two states, Alabama and Tennessee, have showed trends in the downward direction.
