Led by double-doubles from senior guard Lauren Heard and graduate forward Michelle Berry, the TCU Horned Frogs came from behind to beat the Texas Tech University Lady Raiders 61-53 Saturday.

Three different Horned Frogs had double-digit points in the win. Heard led the team with 23 points, and her 11 rebounds and six assists led to her third double-double of the season.

Berry had her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Aja Holmes, first-year guard, had a career-high 14 points and drained four three-pointers.

The Horned Frogs went into halftime down 24-20 and were down by as many as 13 points in the first two periods, but came out of halftime strong with a 6-0 run late in the third period to tie the game 32-32.

In the fourth period, TCU outscored Texas Tech 27-14. Berry and Holmes each had three 3-pointers in the period. Heard scored 12 of her 23 points in the final period to help seal the win for the Horned Frogs.

Graduate guard Aahliyah Jackson had a career-high eight rebounds in the win. Junior guard Caroline Germond also recorded a career-high five rebounds.

TCU out-rebounded Texas Tech 47-40, improving to 5-2 this season when out-rebounding opponents.

With the win, TCU broke a three-game losing streak to Texas Tech.

TCU moves to 7-6 with the win and will take on the No. 9 Baylor Lady Bears next. The Horned Frogs head to Waco on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Ferrell Center.
