El Chapo’s wife is out of prison

Aispuro pleaded guilty to money laundering and conspiring to distribute illegal drugs for import into the U.S. to a Washington D.C. jury in 2021.

Though she served most of her sentence in a female-only, federal prison in Fort Worth, just nine miles northeast of campus, Aispuro was moved to a California halfway house in June for exhibiting good behavior, a Bureau of Prisons official said.

Despite her upcoming release, Aispuro’s husband, who was found guilty in 2019 of running the Sinaloa drug cartel, is still serving a life sentence in prison.

A zookeeper was attacked and killed by a rhinoceros while working inside the animal’s enclosure at the Hellbrunn Zoo in Salzburg, Austria, according to NBC News.

The zookeeper’s husband, who is also an employee at the zoo, was attacked while trying to chase the rhino away from his wife, causing him to face serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the attack is still unknown, but the woman was known to be “very careful and thoughtful with the animals,” Sabine Grebner, the zoo director, said.
