American Airlines, the Texas Rangers, Ulta and Target are just a few of the 130 employers expected to meet with students at TCU’s largest career fair.

The TCU Career Center will host the 2023 Fall Career and Expo Fair from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the Schollmaier Arena concourse.

Career fairs offer students the opportunity to make connections with future employers and network with peers and professional representatives.  Also, students will have the opportunity to get a free headshot or LinkedIn photo while at the event.

The employers attending the career fair are passionate about TCU and have “committed time, travel and interest in hiring TCU students,” said Mike Caldwell, the executive director of the TCU Career Center.

All students are invited to the fair, which is an opportunity for students to focus on their future career path. With so many employers in attendance, there will be an abundance of options.

“It can be slightly overwhelming, especially with how many businesses and students were there,” said Ellie Huisman, a junior finance and accounting double major. “I was able to connect with many firms, especially those with alumni from my business program, the Neeley Leadership Program.”

The employers are excited to meet students, who are free to ask questions or just come check the event out, Caldwell said.

Katie Hoang attended the fair last year for a class. The sophomore finance and entrepreneurship double major described the employer she visited with as “interested and interactive.”

How to prepare

Huisman offered five tips for a student attending the 2023 Career & Intern Expo:

  1. “Research businesses and firms in attendance beforehand
  2. “Pre-plan questions to ask recruiters
  3. “Dress business professional
  4. “Bring resume copies
  5. “Be confident”

Students must  RSVP for the 2023 Career & Intern Expo through the Handshake web portal to secure their spot at the event.

TCU hosts an all-campus, all-major fair every semester.  There are also 15 industry, college, and interest-specific fairs throughout the year. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
