Over the weekend, the Horned Frogs traveled to Waco to face the No. 20 Baylor Bears and came back to Fort Worth with the series win.

The first match took place on Friday, Nov. 10 and TCU defeated Baylor 3-1, which is the first time the Frogs have won against Baylor on the road since 2015. This also marks their first ranked win of the season.

The Frogs showcased their offensive and defensive talent with Outside Hitters Melanie Parra and Jalyn Gibson recording double-doubles.

Parra tallied 24 kills in Friday’s match, 10 of which came from the second set.

True freshman Lily Nicholson also contributed to the Frogs’ success on both sides of the ball with a team-leading 39 assists and nine digs.

Coming off of a huge win on Friday, TCU looked to leave Waco going 2-0 against the Bears moving into their match on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Down 2-0 in Saturday’s match, the Frogs came back for an electric reverse sweep on the Bears.

Outside hitter Audrey Nalls and Parra were explosive on offense, each tallying a match-best 16 kills.

Parra and Gibson recorded their 10th double-double of the season, with 14 and 11 digs, respectively.

The final three sets were a close battle between the Frogs and the Bears with TCU ultimately coming out on top. This was a huge win for TCU volleyball coming off of a 6-8 streak in Big 12 play.

The Frogs are now 15-12 overall, and 8-8 in conference play.

TCU volleyball will travel to Houston and face the Wildcats on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. The match will be available for streaming on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
