Spring break 2024 has come to an end, rapidly ushering in the final weeks of the school year.
Back on campus, students candidly speak on how they are feeling about their return to school post-break and sharing valuable insight into how they are acclimating to the routine of school and everyday life.
For many students at TCU, getting back into their regular routine of school presents its own set of challenges.
Anna Mikeska, a senior majoring in strategic communications, feels the struggle to stay motivated in her final weeks at TCU.
“I’m feeling a little bit over school, like I definitely have senioritis but I don’t have too much work,” she said. “So, I’m definitely recharged and just ready for the last like six weeks or so of school.”
This idea resonates among a majority of students who, while grateful for the rest spring break had to offer, are eager to jump back into their routines back campus.
In anticipation of the upcoming finals, students are setting themselves up for success by restarting study sessions at the Mary Couts Burnett Library, reintroducing wake up times and restoring aspects of their daily routines that were lost over spring break.
Claire Franques, a junior who is also majoring in strategic communications, was leaving the Neeley School of Business when asked about how she is getting back into the groove of school this spring semester.
“I decided to go ahead and knock out some of my work today,” she said. “And I’m already feeling much better and a lot less anxious.”
There are six weeks until final exams in May, and TCU students want to finish the semester strong. Spring break was a time to rest and rejuvenate, but now is the time to successfully get through the final grueling weeks of the academic year.
