Life Sentence Imposed on Gunman for Fatal Colorado Supermarket Shooting
Ahmad Alissa has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2021 mass shooting at a Boulder, Colorado supermarket that left 10 people dead, according to AP News.

Birmingham Leaders Ask for Public’s Help in Mass Shooting Case and Offer Reward Money
Birmingham officials are urging the public for information on a weekend mass shooting at Five Points South that left four dead and 17 injured, offering a reward of $100,000, according to AP News.
No arrests have been made following Saturday’s shooting, with police suspecting multiple shooters targeted at least one victim while bystanders were caught in the crossfire.
With the shooting being Birmingham’s third quadruple homicide this year, a mother of one of the victims said Birmingham resembles a war zone like Chicago or Iraq, where innocent women, children, and others are being killed.
Mayor Woodfin urged state lawmakers to ban conversion devices that boost the firing rates of semi-automatic weapons, already banned under federal law, to help local law enforcement.
Woofin said, “It gives me the motivation to figure out a way to solve this so more mothers aren’t grieving.”
